Overcoming Chronic Pain With Lesley Toennies
Lesley Toennies shares her story of eventually being diagnosed with hip dysplasia after years of battling chronic pain with no definitive diagnosis. During her journey, Lesley and her husband started a non-profit to serve women suffering from hip/pelvic issues and chronic pain. She also launched a podcast called Mighty Talks, where she talks about navigating through the healthcare system while battling chronic health issues. Lesley walks us through her rebuild period, how she was able to overcome her surgeries and gain her strength back to be physically active again. After her two major hip reconstruction surgeries in 2021 and again in 2022, she dove into the world of protein ice cream. That eventually led to the birth of Frosty Flex, her protein ice cream company which launched in 2023.
